The DPSND is a protocol for pushing and pulling fluid thru a single needle stick (Double Pump, Single Needle device). The protocol is an emergency procedure to be used when a second access could not be achieved. Software had User Interface features and controlled pumps, valves and sensors to easily function in a failover environment. The STG engineer was the main developer on the project. Software was developed using best practices, code reviews and supported 510K submittals.
